The Ninjamatics’ 2012 Canadian Weblog Awards winners are here! Over the past year, the Ninjamatics team saw 467 blogs nominated across 36 categories. 51 volunteer jurors worked hard over the course of January using a 10-point criteria to judge each of the 467 weblogs in the first round and each of the approximately 180 weblogs in the second round to arrive at the winners.
At Figure/Ground Communication, we are very pleased with the results! Our blog was shortlisted in three categories – Education; Media & Journalism; Religion, Spirituality & Philosophy – ultimately winning first place in the “education” category.
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Figure/Ground community (editors, contributors, followers and interviewees) for their hard work, commitment and dedication. Clearly, this is the result of a collective effort; and in the spirit of collaboration that fuels the Figure/Ground project, I hope this award serves as a reminder that we are nothing without community.
Bon appetit!
